Popular day-trip destinations include the the Europa Park theme park, the Schluchsee and Titisee lakes as well as Lake Constance with its Mainau island. Alsace, Strasbourg and even Switzerland are also easily accessible from the Black Forest.

By Train:
From the main station at Freiburg, take the regional train to Feldberg-Bärental or Feldberg-Altglashütten, which go every hour. From Feldburg, take the bus for the remainder of the journey.

From the Airport:
Take the airport bus from Basel-Mulhouse to Freiburg train station and follow the instructions above.
