Situated directly between the Speicherstadt world-heritage complex and the HafenCity harbour area, the location of the A&O City Hauptbahnhof allows you to get to Hamburg’s main attractions quickly and easily.

Travel information

By Car:
- Change at the junction Hamburg-Süd from the A1 motorway to the A255 motorway.
- At the end, drive across the Neue Elbbrücke.
- After about 1 km, turn left in to Amsinckstrasse.
- Keep to the right until Deichtorplatz.
- Circle around Deichtorplatz (U-turn, but do not drive into the tunnel), you will automatically be directed onto Amsinckstrasse. Keep to the right.
- Turn right onto Högerdamm and then directly left into Amsinckstrasse again.
- The A&O Hotel and Hostel are located on the right side.

Parking:
An underground car park is located next to the hostel (chargeable).

By Train:
The hotel is situated approximately 300 metres from Central Station. Leave Central Station at the Steindamm / S-Bahn exit and walk across the rails towards Tourist-Info / S-Bahn and to the right into Kirchenallee. Keep to the right. At the end, cross Steintorplatz / Steintordamm and turn left into Julius-Kobler-Weg (next to the Museum of Kunst und Gewerbe). At the end, turn right into Altmannbrücke and directly left into Münzstrasse. Take the first street on the right (Hühnerposten) and proceed straight on into Schultzweg. At the end, you can the see the A&O Hotel and Hostel across the street. Walk to the left towards the traffic lights and cross the street.

By Plane:
Take the Airport Express Bus from the airport to Central Station. The buses operate every 15 minutes and take about 25 minutes to reach the station. Fares start at EUR 5 per person. From Central Station, follow the description above.
