The Matreier Tauernhaus, operated by the Brugger family for 3 generations, looks back at 800 years of tradition as a hospitable guest house on the old trade route over the Felbertauern pass.
This historic building, founded by the Archbishop of Salzburg in 1207, is located in the Matreier Tauerntal, a well-known and popular valley near the Felbertauern pass and road tunnel. Our offer of easy to very challenging tours can be ordered via e-mail in a specially prepared folder. Cross-country skiers appreciate our own 6-km run, which can be used until spring, and for ice climbing, the Schildalm and Löbbenbach Falls are ideal. Our own natural toboggan run from the south portal of the Felbertauern is especially popular with families and their children. The “Grossglockner Arena Kals-Matrei” ski area is only a 15-minute drive away. |
